What I am loving right now.....

Thought I'd post a few pics of what I am loving right now.....

 

My own 'creating space', tucked away where I can potter to my hearts content (when I find time) and leave my mess (which I always seem to do - LOL) now I know its not one of those glamorous CRAFT rooms that I drool over but hey its a start, its mine and I LOVE it...

 

Our new chandeleir...we have wanted one for sooo long, it is now proudly hanging in our dining room - very nice don't you think?

 

Our new deck area....a very nice place to sit and ponder..lovely with a cuppa in the morning and the fire has come in very handy on cold wintery afternoons with a glass of vino....LOVE it...

 

Hmmm you may well ask what this is....they kinda look like pineapple rings don't they?....well its the girls creating 'artwork' whilst waiting for the biccies to cook...LOL cute huh!

 

In case you can't read this it says "Just Like Martha"...luv that your children have to support you!

 

I am certainly LOVING that my kids enjoy baking as much as I do....

And finally.......

 

I LOVE that I finally have started to gather a collection of cards that I am going to try and sell on ETSY, such stunning flowers and they look great as greeting cards...what do you think? Almost ready to unveil my Etsy venture.....

So its almost Wednesday and these are some of the things I love to LOVE at the moment...what are you loving right now?

Shadow Shot Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone, last day of the school holidays for us here in NSW, sadly tomorrow its back to making lunches, school uniforms and taxi runs for me....third term I cannot believe it!

Shadow Shot Sunday

My Shadow Shot today comes with a "little help from my friend - Latte" the resident bunny in our backyard...he often chases this ball around the backyard...very cute!

Happy Birthday cake

Happy Birthday JUDY! Hope you liked your special Birthday cake we made you....Hummingbird Cake with Cream Cheese icing - yum!

 

Just luv the tiny violets that have popped up around the garden like weeds...handy for decorating though don't you think!

HUMMINGBIRD CAKE

450g can crushed pineapple            1 cup plain flour

1/2 cup SR flour                            1/2 tsp bicarb soda

1/2 tsp cinnamon                          1/2 tsp ground ginger

1 cup brown sugar                        1/2 cup dessicated coconut

1 cup mashed banana                    2 eggs, beaten lightly

3/4 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to moderate, grease cake tin, line base with baking paper. Drain pineapple over medium bowl, pressing with spoon to extract as much syrup as possible, reserve 1/4 cup syrup.

Sift flours, soda, spices and sugar into a large bowl. Using wooden spoon, stir in drained pineapple, reserved syrup, coconut, banana, egg and oil; pour into prepared pan.

Bake cake moderate oven about 40 minutes. Stand cake in tin 5 minutes then turn onto wired rack to cool. Spread cake with cream cheese frosting.

Back to Nature

 We recently enjoyed a weekend up north with friends...stunning winter weather encouraged us to go for some lovely bushwalks and along the way my camera went into overdrive....

 

 

 

One of our great walks led us to discover Maitland Bay with its desserted beach we shared with no-one...a great place to picnic and take more photos...

Anyway it got me thinking..... I have so many gorgeous tropical flower shots from our time up in Far North Queensland...think I'll organise some card sets to show them all off and have a go at selling them on Etsy..something I have wanted to do for some time (set up an Etsy shop) seems like there is not time like the present...stay tuned!

Wow is there anyone out there not having a Birthday, Baby or celebrating a new job? It continues to be a busy month in the greeting card department..here are some more of my creations...

 

Just LOVE these "Its a Boy" baby cards that my buddy Annette Hanigan blogged about over at www.fiskarcraft.typepad.com back in July....she is SO clever in her example she actually recycled her shopping offcuts..there is no end to that womans talents I tell you!

Shadow Shot Sunday

Just back from a wonderful weekend away up at Pearl Beach on the Central Coast of NSW.... we were blessed with great weather, enjoyed good food and wine, played some 'family games', spent quality time with our dear friends, laughed lots and even managed some great bushwalks...a perfect weekend away!

Some projects completed...Yay

I have managed to complete a few projects I have been working on...first a Birthday present for a friend of Lilly...

 

A Congratulations card for a close family friend and yet another Birthday card...

 

 

Remember the BABY SHOWER I am organising..it is going to be an 'underwater kinda theme', Brooke doesn't know if she is having a boy or a girl...

 

And finally the Baby Shower is a little over a month away but you know me..always the 'organised one'..here is my pressie...an album ready for photos of both an 'expecting Brooke' as well as the new bundle...I figure there will be lots to do with decorating for the party so having the pressie ready now is a good thing...right!

 

 

I purchased a small box and decorated it with the same papers, complete with an organza bow its the perfect Baby Shower gift, I am really happy with the final result..hope Brooke is too xx
