Fiskars COLOUR ME HAPPY challenge - all scrapped - YAY

 This challenge has been so much fun. It has really made me 'think outside the square' and appreciate the colours that are often 'under my nose'...special thanks to Annette www.annettehanigan.typepad.com who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes not only with the amazing collages she has presented but with lovely comments and the odd motivation...xx

I have 'scrapped' all my wonderful photos and rather than bore you page by page, I have inlisted the help of Picassa to show you a collage of my scrapped pages...

 

After much procrastinating I decided to make a special album to remember the COLOUR ME HAPPY challenge so covered some thick heavy cardboard in 'coloured stripey paper' then used Bazzill coloured papers along with a few embelishments and lots of paint chart cards to 'theme' each page. A quick bash with the Fiskars eyelet punch, and I was done!

 

 

And a final trip down memory lane.....a collage of MY red, pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, black and white photos...enjoy!

Fiskars COLOUR ME HAPPY challenge - BLACK & WHITE

Its very sad - the last day of our FISKARS challenge - for one month now we have been thinking colour, its been a lot of fun, Annette has done an amazing job over at www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com ! So today in honour of the finish I am posting two BLACK & WHITE shots, the first is mine...

 

With Piano exams in our house at the moment this little baby has been getting quite a work out LOL! The second pic is compliments of Taylor, taken last Halloween at a party, and yes its definitely BLACK & WHITE!

During a VERY manic Saturday managed to snap these pics, not sure which one yet I will use for my scrapping...

 

 

And these little happy chaps just happened to be there too (Annette the orange is haunting me - everywhere I look LOL - look at the colour of the boat in the background!)

Shadow Shot Sunday

Tracey over at www.heyharriet.blogspot.com is hosting Shadow Shot Sunday # 67, be sure to visit! My shot today was taken during the week on a walk down at Balmoral Beach. This bridge goes over to a little island, perfect for picnicing and makes a great backdrop for photos, and you often see photographers and the like setting up great shots here.

Fiskars - COLOUR ME HAPPY challenge - BLACK & WHITE

We are hitting the homeward stretch now, only three days until the end of the challenge and its BLACK & WHITE! Annette will be posting the final ORANGE collages soon over at www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com so don't forget to go over and have a look.

Today my WHITE shot reminds me of my wedding day (just a few years ago now LOL), it is where we had our wedding photos taken, a great rotunda near the water, the perfect spot.

Some recycling and a sneek peak....

Ever since seeing these recyled books over at www.aspoonfullofsugargirls.blogspot.com I knew I had to make one...or two...or three...

 

Sarah and Lisa are a talented mother and daughter duo who intorduced me to "Paint chart notebooks" using old paint charts and paper...I was really happy with the way they turned out...they also gave me some inspiration for how to display my Fiskars month of COLOUR CHALLANGE which I wanted to scrap...here is a sneek peak of what I have been up to..more will be revealed at the end of the challenge in a few days..

Fiskars COLOUR ME HAPPY challenge - ORANGE

Well, last day of our ORANGE challenge today and I thought I'd share something little that sits with me at my desk and comes in handy when I get frustrated you see it doubles as a 'stress ball'...and just happens to be ORANGE (yes Annette, the colour has been under my nose the whole time LOL)

 

Over the next few days all the ORANGE photos will be loaded onto a collage by Annette, check them out www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com then its on to BLACK and WHITE for the last three days of the challange..wooo hooo x

Day two of our ORANGE challenge and Jane (www.janecurtis.typepad.com) is right if you don't post quick one of the girls over at www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com gets in first..LOL..for example out and about doing my 'mum's run' yesterday I stopped to photograph this..

 

BUT, it seems there is a lot of roadworks and construction about....lots of the girls have got in before me! No worries searching the house for more ORANGE inspiration I found this cute toy from Ikea ready to be wrapped as a gift...

 

You may not be able to tell from the photo but its a 'bunny riding a carrot car' (of course it is LOL)..when I put it down to photograph, our bunny Latte just had to get in on the action...hmm pity he is not orange!

 

Poor Latte I think he thought he'd found a friend...x See you tomorrow for more ORANGE to COLOUR YOUR DAY xx

Fiskars COLOUR ME HAPPYchallenge - ORANGE

Okay I'll admit it, when Annette (www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com) announced that the new colour challege was ORANGE I did freak out just a little...I mean ORANGE is not one of my fave colours..the first thing I thought of was mandarins or oranges but hey that is boring I at this stage in the challenge I was going to have to do better than that...then I saw it...my old (sorry 'much loved') FISKARS cutter...and the rest they say is history - thanks Fiskars for coming to my rescue...LOL
