The recent few challenges that I have participated in have "inspired me to scrap"...
Its amazing how good it feels to 'dust off' those cobwebs and get stuck into some serious memory making!!!
All this creating I have run out of refills for my album.....looks like I'm off shopping next week on my day off for more!
A while ago I discovered Lea and her wonderful family over at www.littlebitsofpretty.blogspot.com she has been busy thrifting and creating and has some wonderful 'bits of pretty' for sale - go and check them out!
I especially love the revamped envelopes from maps and can't wait to create something with the vintage map paper garland...but my all time favourite the cute little lucky dip Lea includes with every order...PLUS all the money she receives goes directly to Westmead Childrens Hospital!
A yummy package like this in the mail certainly gets the 'creative juices' flowing, lucky for me I needed to make a Birthday card...

There is nothing like a little challenge to get those creative juices flowing and inspire you to enter your creative space for a 'little play'...that is exactly what I did after Kim Archer's girls posted another challange at the @Home site - www.kimarcher.typepad.com
The challenge was set by Lisa, "create a layout inspired by Lisa's colour palette" (green, blue, yello, white and orange)...the look of summer, and I found the perfect photo...Lilly earning to surf (hmmm part of the school's summer sports program - never did FUN stuff like that when I went to school!!!)
There were some beautiful entires in the challenge stop by at Kim's site to check them out!
Lots of card making going on in my craft space at the moment AND I am happy to say some scrapping as well (thanks to the challnge put out by Kim Archer's wonderful team - so inspiring)....but today I am going to share some of the cards...

We celebrated a dear friends 'special' Birthday last Saturday at a beautiful restaurant in the city. The Birthday girl knew we were going somewhere to dinner but didn't know where/who was attending. I offered to help with some of the arrangements and decided placecards might make the table look more 'personal'....
I gathered my supplies, and came up with these...
They looked really pretty on the table and the Birthday girl was 'suitably impressed'....she had a wonderful night, my job was done!

I have never really participated in any "scrapbooking sketch challenges", mostly when I scrapbook it just happens, I don't plan how I scrap it just evolves...BUT...it was lots of fun to participate in this challenge over at www.kimarcher.typepad.com and just quietly I think I am hooked! (Kim's support team have organised this challenge whilst Kim has a well deserved rest)

A little while ago my blogging buddy Tamar from www.tarisota.typepad.com hosted with the very talented Mel from www.melissagoodsell.typepad.com "Hip Hip Hooray for Valentines" a five day special with lots of crafty ideas....Tamar had some wonderful hearts to giveaway and I won!
This arrived in my mailbox yesterday...packaged beautifully (of course!!)
Ooooh what to do with such beautiful paper hearts....Tamar, hope you like what I came up with...thank you for such a lovely gift..
I found this cute little 'birdcage' at a sale at the end of last year, so far it has been filled with baubles for Christmas and now hearts for Valentines.....it has officially become our "season/celebration" decoration for our hall table...ooohhh can't wait for Easter!
