Taylor opted for an "alternate schoolies" and Melbourne was the chosen destination...a few days with me for some mother/daughter bonding (oh and a spot of shopping) then a week with two of her favourite cousins! We flew down Friday night and spent two nights at the amazing Ovolo Laneways a little boutique hotel in Little Bourke Street, perfectly positioned amongst groovy laneways, restaurants, Chinatown, the theatres and great shopping. The hotel has loft style accommodation, free mini bar, grab and go breakfast everyday, free drinks in the early evening, Apple TV plus so much more....highly recommend it!
First stop Friday night was of course H & M, yes we are from Sydney and yes our newly opened H&M store at Macquarie Centre still has crazy queues, so it was a must visit and we were not disapoointed. Melbourne city has late night shopping on a Friday perfect if you are heading down for the weekend.
We loved exploring Melbourne on foot for a few days its such an easy city to navigate and everywhere you turn there seems to be another laneway to discover. Hoiser Lane is a must if you want to see some amazing street art.....
Melbourne we will be back, thanks for a great weekend!
