Hubby and I are recently back from a winter escape to beautiful Khao Lak, just north of Phuket in Thailand...we booked months ago on a whim. It was a 'luxury escape' deal we saw advertised and was inclusive of breakfast, massages, dinners, afternoon teas, cocktail parties plus more - almost too good to be true!
We were certainly not disappointed and would definitely recommend this resort and style of package. The weather was mostly kind to us despite the act that it is "rainy season". John swam laps every morning in the beautiful swimming pool and after a long and leisurely breakfast we relaxed, read, walked along the beautiful beach and relaxed a little more....we thoroughly enjoyed the massages that our 'package' included...the hardest decision every day was where to eat dinner and we were certainly spoilt for choice!
Some amazing Thai food of course and lots of fresh salads, seafood and bbq's were on the menu. Looking forward to 'recreating' a few of the dishes we made at our 'cooking lesson' too!
Our beach walks were plenty...a great way to start the day after the breakfast buffet!
Never tire of the beautiful flora that the tropics produce, the heliconia's and palms remind me of our time in Cairns and always seem to scream "summer holiday"...
Will be back in a few days to share another part of our Khao Lak adventure.....our elephant safari....a magical day spent with magical creatures....until then thanks for stopping by xox
