I recently wanted to take some visitors somewhere special for coffee, its was my day off and the sun was shining....Balmoral Beach was an easy choice!
Bathers Pavilion is a wonderful place to sit with a coffee and watch the passing parade...hmmm just so happens there were some shadows about as well...

Earlier in the week we headed out to spend the day at the Royal Easter Show, we had a great day and managed to visit most of the exhibits including a sheep shearing display (complete with shadows!!) I must say we were very impressed with the evening entertainment in the show rink, the fireworks display set to music was quite spectacular!
Hope you are having a great Sunday, I'm off to do some more housework before settling in for a night in front of the tele there are some great shows on tonight (TV Week Logies, The Voice, Dancing with the Stars)...I love me a lazy Sunday evening (espcecially with a clean house)!!!
Its Sunday and time to share some shadows, I am playing along over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2 and thought today we'd visit the wonderful city of Barcelona!
First up a peek into the Olympic Stadium that was purpose built to hold the Olympics in 1992, an impressive structure. Only a short drive away this was built to commemorate all the wonderful volunteers that helped during the games period.
Now lets drive to the other side of town and immerse ourselves in Gaudi's most famous work - the Basilica De La Sagrada Familia.
I don't think anything prepared me for this, I had seen plenty of pictures of this magnificent structure, but nothing can prepare you for the inside, it literally took my breath away!!
Impressive huh! (and some wonderful shadows too)
One of the front doors cast some wonderful shadows, as did a statue on the outside..
So there you have it, a quick tour of Barcelona,we fell in love with this city and hope to get back and explore it again one day. Happy SSS to all the fellow shadow chasers out there!

The amazing Colosseum, so much history, so many stories to tell....
So many lives lost.....
Just around the corner is the ROMAN FORUM, its an archeological dream and you can spend hours wandering around just imagining what it must have been like thousands of years ago...
And around the corner again we found a quite tree lined street on Palantine Hill perfect for some 'special memories' of our time in such a wonderful city....
Sydney has turned on a magnificent day but a little part of me wishes I was somewhere in Rome sipping on a latte!!!! Ahhh memories xx
Playing along with the team over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2!
I thought I'd take a break from posting shadow shots of our holiday to Europe to make the most of the fact that the sun finally came out yesterday in Sydney (for a while anyway)! Not only the sun but a few of our backyard 'critters' as well...
Look closely lurking in the shadows is none other than "Baby Bluey" our baby Blue Tongue lizard (mum is a lot shyer she doesn't come out to bask on the deck very often)...
Not to be outdone in the 'lurking stakes', a few metres away was out very own resident bunny Latte who had found her very own shadows to shelter under!

We enjoyed wandering along the beautiful Seinne River just taking it all in...
Spent a day at the "Louvre" in awe of the magnificent exibitions...
We especially loved the Egyptian section...
Other ancient exhibitions provided wonderful shadow opportunites as well....

More holiday snaps with shadows to share this week! I thought in the spirit of the Australian Open tennis and as the finals being played tonight with Nadal, I would share some photos that we took in Nadal's home town of Mallorca. We visited this lovely part of the world on a recent holiday, the seaside town where he and his "uncle Tony" (coach) live is very pretty and worth a visit...
