We interrupt the business of the past few weeks to make an announcement....I have an almost 21 year old in the house...eek...how did that happen???

Its been a while since I had FABULOUS FIND post.....I have been slowly having a clean up of my craft space (hmmm....long overdue) and although I am getting much better at offloading unwanted craft items I just can't seem to let go of the many magazines I seem to have collected along the way, especially the glossy (expensive ) ones...
Its silly really, if I am looking for a recipe its probably available at the touch of a button and everything else is probably outdated...so what to do. It got me thinking and of course searching for all the wonderful crafts out there using old magazines...recycle and repurpose of course!
Here are a few of my favourites...
Love, love these adorable magazine flowers...the pinwheels would be a great backdrop for a party and a canvas coated in magazines then lettering....drool
Okay so I could ignore the recycling bit and just repurpose them into a cool stool LOL...or perhaps start early on making these great Christmas decorations....
I think I will definitely start with these envelopes, simply, easy and effective...oh and maybe a flower or two to sit on-top a present...and another party idea, imagine these little favour bags made out of you guessed it old magazines LOL.

Back again with some Vintage Tea Party inspiration as promised! You may recall I organised an afternoon tea party for a dear friend a while back (you can find all the details and pics here)....well as I plotted and planned my own Birthday celebrations I decided that "when you are on to a good thing..stick to it"....
My dining room table looks like "Vintage Tea Party Central" at the moment with vintage tea cups, cake platters, doillies etc...I cannot wait to hit the flower markets early next Friday morning and get started with the decorating and baking!

Its been a while since I posted about FABULOUS FINDS...not that there are not a lot out there, I have just been time poor these past few weeks. Its mid October and the shops seem to be filled with all things Halloween in readiness for the end of the month. Here are some of my favourite finds from around the web this week...
How adorable are these ice cream shots from Sugar & Cloth make sure you visit the website for the easy recipe and loads of Halloween inspiration just like these cute 'bedazzled' pumpkins..
For lots of inspitaion you just have to head to the Pottery Barn blog.
Then of course there is my ol' favourite Martha Stewart with ideas on everything from Halloween costumes to food to decorating, to entertaining and beyond. Wanting to make a statement this year with an outfit, then look no further....

How easy is this idea...grab a packet or two of cheap plastic spiders from the "$2 shop" and freeze in an ice-cube tray...very effective!
Now that is what I call a set of dentures!

Well after a few years and over 480 posts I thought it was time for a new look - what do you think???
Lucky for me my kids are right up there with the technology so what would have taken me hours didn't take them very long at all (okay lets face it if it had been left to me I would still have the same ol' blog I would have given up for sure!)
Some of my latest creations were expertly photographed then made into a blog banner, I also decided it was time for a complete revamp so played around with the design and content a little...hope you like it!
But alas my revamp did not stop there... I have taken a huge leap and re-started my Etsy account with lots of my beautiful candles in time for Mothers Day...a few cards there too...you can fine me here or click on the link at the side to be taken straight to my shop.
But wait...there's more.....time to join Facebook too, check it out, please "Like Me" if you are on Facebook so at least I "think I have friends" LOL x
And finally on a roll, Lilly convinced me that it was about time I joined the ranks of Instagram so hey...why not! I must admit time is sometimes lacking in my world and the "instant gratification" is a wonderful way of keeping track of the day to day stuff, I am hooked!
